Annual General Meeting

Dear Member,

We hope that you are keeping well.

Due to exceptional circumstances caused by Covid-19 Birr RFC was not able to hold its Annual General Meeting in May as per the club constitution. With the recent government announcement easing restrictions around indoor gathering the club has decided to hold this years AGM on Friday 24th July at 8pm in the clubhouse.

We would ask all members to make time to come to this event, hear about the club’s progress throughout the year and have an opportunity to voice your opinion to ensure we continue to excel both on and off the pitch.

Any motion for consideration should be submitted to the Honorary Secretary Des Corcoran (decorcoran@eircom.net) no later then Friday 17th July.

We would like thank all outgoing coaches and committee members for the valuable time and effort they contributed to the club throughout the year however as always there are a number of positions that need to be filled this year at the AGM including, but not limited to, the roles of youth coordinator, safety officer and vice president.

In recent years the club has struggled to fill positions and we would ask our members to considering getting involved. While there are positions on the executive committee that require filling for the basic functioning of the club there are also numerous ways for people to help from running social events, fundraising, development or on the pitches.
