On Saturday 25th January our U17 boys traveled to Enniscorthy for the first round of the Leinster U17 Culliton Cup. After drawing last years finalists in the 1st Round of the cup it was always going to be an uphill battle for the 14 rebel players who traveled to Enniscorthy.
Although a man down from the kick off our lads started well and controlled the opening 20 minutes of the game leading 6-5 due to the precision kicking of Adam Wallace
A run away try from the home side late in the first half was the turning point. The extra man and the availability of fresh legs by means of substitutions was too much for the 14 Rebels with Enniscorthy pushing on to win in the end.
The lads should be proud of there effort under tough conditions.
