Today was a proud today for Birr Rugby when the U15 & U18 girls played host to Dundalk in the first ever Women's League games to be played here in Birr. Under blue skies and on a well prepared pitch (thanks to John Heffernan and the grounds committee) the women entertained the large crowd present with some thrilling rugby. There was mixed fortunes for both teams with the U15's coming off second best whist the U18's recorded a good win on the day.
